I've only found one other herp-related Tribe here (Gay Herpetologists) and thought I'd create a Tribe that would be a bit more "all-encompassing" (gay herpers ARE certainly welcome too, of course...makes no difference to me!)

My specific interests are Tortoises and Boidae...need to get some pics up of my pets ASAP! The only pic thus far is of one of my daughter's Red-Eared Sliders, "Phantasma"...

Hopefully, other folks who enjoy reptiles and amphibians will join us and we can share our collective knowledge of these fascinating "lil' critters"!

Just as an FYI, there are several other herp sites here: boas, pythons, snakes, and snake lovers to name a few.

Amongst the animals living with me at the moment are several species of garter snake, a number of corn and rat snakes, a couple of boas, a ball python, a couple of hognose snakes, a pair of red milk snakes, a king snake, and pine, bull and gopher snakes. (Though i'm sure i've left out a couple along the way)...there's also a 2yr old box turtle here. :)

hope to see you on the other reptile sites!

      OK...thanks for the "heads up"!

I must admit that I'm still exploring this VERY cool site!

      BTW, nice snakes!

Terry told me about this site, so I decided to join. I work with herps on a daily basis while on my internship. I have numerous herp pictures, so if you wanna see something, just ask. Trying to get some pictures published right now, so wish me luck on that! Glad to be here, and let's get some chatting going!

Hello Wendy. Where are you doing your internship? I used to go to, and teach at The University of Texas in Arlington. They have extensive herpetology research going on there. It is primarily under Dr. Jonathan A. Campbell. You may have heard of him. ;)

I saw an Indigo snake and Texas Horned Lizards in your photos. Are they pets, or did you study them in the wild? Both are beautiful animals.
